The conference is devoted to a broad spectrum of issues related to the safety of children and young people on the internet. It is addressed to the representatives of the education sector, NGOs, the judiciary and law enforcement agencies and internet content service providers. The conference aims at raising awareness about the new challenges and opportunities in fighting online threats as well as at popularising best practices across different sectors.
The Empowering Children Foundation (Fundacja Dajemy Dzieciom Siłę) has been active since 1991. It works towards making sure that all children have a safe childhood and are treated with respect for their dignity, as full-fledged human beings.
The 13th International Conference “Keeping Children and Young People Safe Online” will take place at the Airport Hotel Okęcie (street 17 Stycznia number 24, Warsaw) on 17th and 18th of September 2019.
The conference is organized by the Polish and German Safer Internet Centres, which have been working together within the European Commission’s Connecting Europe Facility Program. The co-organizer of the event is International Telecommunication Union. The main partner of the conference is the Orange Foundation. Partner of the event is the Google Poland. Honorary patronages for the event were given by: Polish Ministry of Digital Affairs, Polish Ministry of National Education and Ombudsman for Children.
