What is made of "personal data" at a time when our data is anything but personal?
The websites, applications, social networks, and smart devices we use every day all benefit from the same thing that enables technology companies to make billions - the data.
Not any data, but our data. It is estimated that by 2030 there will be 125 billion connected devices - 14 per person. This is a lot of smart toothbrushes. Will these new technologies make our lives more efficient, healthier, and safer?
The Glass Room Experience exhibition is organized by Davide Scarso with the collaboration of André Pereira and materials from the Tactical Technology Collective, integrated in the project Anthropolands. The exhibition can be experienced at the António Manuel Nunes dos Santos Seminar Room of the Department of Applied Social Sciences, in Building VII of FCT/NOVA, from 4 to 8 February.
